For patchwork, we begin by sawcutting the area and removing the damaged asphalt. In some cases, the sub-base may need to be removed and replaced with reprocessed gravel that is compacted to ensure a strong foundation. Once the sub-base is ready, we pave and compact the area to specifications.

At Blackstone Valley Asphalt, we begin the crackfilling process by thoroughly cleaning the cracks of any dirt, debris, or vegetation growth. Next, we heat rubber to 420 degrees and carefully squeegee it into the cracks. For larger cracks, we first fill them with hot asphalt before applying the hot rubber on top to ensure a strong, long-lasting seal.
